    Boxing, Women's 65kg Final: SCORECARD

A very close bout as the score card suggests. Parveen Hooda pockets it 3-2 on split.

No 30 for either boxers in any cards. Sums up how tight it was!

Boxing, Women's 65kg Final: Parveen wins GOLD!

Both boxers eager to dominate in the third round. Good punches early on from both before they slow down.

Parveen jumps into Chen out of nowhere a minute into the contest and takes her by surprise. Very clean jabs to the face!

A wee bit of clinching as well as the boxers look to catch some breath.

As the clock winds down, both Parveen and Chen go haywire looking to impress the judges.

Both boxers have their hands up in the air as the bell rings. This'll be a very tight call.

Who've the judges got? It's the boxer in the blue corner!

PARVEEN HOODA HAS WON THE GOLD MEDAL VIA A SPLIT DECISION!

Boxing, Women's 65kg Final: Parveen loses Round 2

Chen comes out aggressively in the second round. A couple of clean punches landed, but Parveen is returning the favour as well.

Chen has been extremely effective from the Chinese Taipei boxer.

The clock winds down and I feel, this could very well go against Parveen.

And it does. She concedes Round 2 unanimously.

All to play for in the final round!

Boxing, Women's 65kg Final: Parveen wins Round 1

A very slow start to the contest. Neither willing to go all-out and trying to reach other out.

As a minute-and-a-half passes, both pugilists go beserk. A few blows exchanged very cleanly.

This looks very tight to me as the clock winds down.

But the judges don't feel so. Parveen Hooda wins Round 1 unanimously! A great start for the Indian.

She goes up agianst Chen Nien-Chin of Chinese Taipei in the women's 65kg.

Sepak Takraw: Indian men's quadrant team wins first-ever Bronze! Lost 0-2 to Japan in semis

India clinched its first-ever medal in the Men’s Quadrant Sepak Takraw event as the team could not get past the hosts in the semi-finals, losing 12-15, 13-15.

Japan had a strong lead in the same, but India bounced back, closed out the deficit, and saved the first of the two match points, but then failed to do so in the second and conceded the match.

This is India's third medal in Sepak Takraw, having won one each in the last two editions - Men's Team Regu (2018) and Women's Regu (2022)  - keeping the streak going.
