Anwar Ali is an Indian international professional footballer and plays in the ISL for the Mumbai City FC. The 19 year old, former Minerva Punjab player has been diagnosed with a heart problem due to which he wont be a part of the ISL club Mumbai City FC for sometime now.

Ali was in great form as he was selected in Mumbai City FC 2019-2020 squad and was also was in the national team list of probables for the World Cup Qualifiers in against Oman, Qatar and Bangladesh and various other tournaments. However, he was diagnosed with a heart problem during a medical test in Mumbai.

Ali has represented India in the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup and played all the three group matches. He was also a part of the I-League for AIFF developmental's team i.e. Indian Arrows during his loan spell from Mumbai City FC.

The AIFF and Mumbai City FC have both pledged to support the defender during his tough time.As it appears, Ali will travel to Rennes, France to consult the expert doctors there and begin working on his rehabilitation. The severity of the problem is yet to be disclosed and the promising defender will return on field after his rehabilitation.
