Wrestlers announce an indefinite protest in New Delhi from Wednesday
Three days after India's top wrestlers including Olympic medalists Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia started an indefinite protest against the arrogance of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) and levelled sexual harassments allegations, the protest has been called off.
Punia said that the protest has been called off after assurance from Sports Minister Anurag Thakur. WFI President Brij Bushan Sharan Singh has also been asked to step aside from his post till the time the probe is conducted.

After three-long days, the Indian wrestlers led by Bajrang Punia have called off their protest against the WFI following assurance from the Sports Minister Anurag Thakur.
The team comprises: Mary Kom, Dola Banerjee, Alaknanda Ashok, Yogeshwar Dutt, Sahdev Yadav and 2 advocates.

Under-fire Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on Friday termed the protest by the country's top grapplers "dharna of Shaheen Bagh" and reiterated that he won't quit from the post.
According to NDTV, the Indian Olympic Association might sit for a meeting at around 5:45 pm IST.
