Nisha and Mansi opened their campaign in women's wrestling while the repechage matches for Sunil Kumar in men's greco roman on the second day of World Olympic Qualifiers in Istanbul, Turkiye.

Nisha won the fifth quota for India in wrestling at women's 68 Kg while Mansi loses in round of 16. Sunil lost the Repechage round-2 ended GR campaign for India.

Men's Greco Roman:- Sunil Kumar (87 Kg)

Women's Wrestling:- Mansi (62 Kg), Nisha (68 Kg)

Alexandra Anghel is a world bronze medalist but in non-olympic category of 72 KG at 2022 World Championships. She also has three European medal including a gold medal in 72 Kg at 2023 edition.

This will be the first meeting between the two players for the coveted quota place at Paris Olympics. The winner will get the quota while the loser will come tomorrow for the second shot at the quota via repechage path.
