Women's U19 World Cup: India beat UAE to move into Super 6s - Highlights
India scored a massive 219/3 before restricting the UAE to 97/5, winning by 122 runs.
After a crushing win over hosts South Africa in their U19 Women's T20 World Cup opener, India strangulated the United Arab Emirates in the second group stage match at the Willowmoore Park on Monday.
Shafali Verma (78 off 34) and Shweta Sehrawat (74* off 49) put on a massive opening stand as India posted 219/3 in their 20 overs. In reply, UAE got off to a good start - scoring 30 runs in the first two overs - but ended with 97/5, falling short by 122 runs.
With 4 points from 2 matches, India have sealed their progress to the Super 6 stage, where they will most probably face two of Australia, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Their next match is a dead rubber against Scotland on Wednesday.
