India registered their first win of the Super Six stage as they defeated Sri Lanka by 7 wickets to stay in contention for a semifinal spot at the Women's U19 T20 World Cup.

The Indians restricted Sri Lanka for 59/9, thanks to Parshavi Chopra's exploits with the ball, before Soumya Tiwari (28*) helped India overcome a shaky start to chase down the target in just 7.2 overs.
