Nothing worked for India in the first ODI. New Zealand piled on 275 runs before India capitulated except for captain Mithali Raj (59) and Yastika Bhatia (41). India were all out for 213 and lost the match by 62 runs. Mithali Raj said after the match the team is missing some of their big players.
