With that heartbreaking loss, curtains fall on India's campaign at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. Undoubtedly the country's best-ever show at the quadrennial event, it was full of highs and lows.

While the 19 medals, including 5 gold, is certainly a very good number, it is now time to sit back and reflect on whether we do enough for these superstars and disabled people in general in the country.

Though Pramod Bhagat and Palak Kohli lost in straight games, this was a very closely fought encounter. They were always in the match, but failed to wrap it up under pressure losing 23-21, 21-19 to finish fourth!

The second fourth-placed finish for India today after Tarun Dhillon lost his SL4 Singles bronze medal match to finish just outside the podium.

Pramod Bhagat and Palak Kohli fail to catch up the Japanese duo this time, as they win the second game 21-19.

Japan have one match point at 20-19. Can they close this off?

Pressure firmly on Pramod and Palak as they trail by one point at 17-18.

It is 16-16. Japan are just five points away from a potential Paralympics bronze and India just five points away from pushing this into a decider.

Who will survive?

Pramod Bhagat and Palak Kohli are not willing to go down without a fight. They equalise again. This time at 15-15.

Japan have a two-point cushion at 15-13. It is all down to handling the nerves now.

Much like the first game, there is nothing to separate the two pairs in the second game as well. All square at 13-13.
