Tokyo Paralympics - Day 6, August 29 - Sumit Antil wins GOLD - LIVE Updates, Scores, Results, Medal, Blog
SUMIT ANTIL IS THE PARALYMPICS CHAMPIONNNN
Sumit Antil fouls in his final attempt, but it DOES NOT MATTER. Nothing matters anymore.
SUMIT ANTIL IS THE PARALYMPICS F46 JAVELIN CHAMPION.
And India continues to have javelin champions in both Olympics and the Paralympics!
Heartbreak for Sandeep Chaudhary
This is yet another heartbreak at the Paralympics for Sandeep Chaudhary, who finishes fourth with a best of 62.20m. Five years after Rio where he finished fifth, nothing seems to have changed for Sandeep.
No words to describe this.
Sumit breaks the WR again!!!!
This is my reaction as Sumit Antil breaks the World Record once again. He has extended that mark to 68.55m now. A gold for India is nothing but secured, as I do not think anyone would come close to this except Sumit himself in his final throw.
Sandeep fouls again
Sandeep Chaudhary has fouled in his fifth attempt, and with just one more throw to go a spot on the podium looks increasingly difficult for him.
There is no catching Sumit
There seems to be no catching Sumit Antil, who is still ruling the field after 4 throws.
Sandeep, on the other hand, is throwing well but has to improve a lot to stand a chance of being on the podium.
Season Best for Sandeep
A season-best for Sandeep Chaudhary at 62.20m, but it is not enough to push him up from the fourth position.
Sandeep falls to number 4
Sandeep Chaudhary has fallen down to number 4 after a wonderful 60.11m throw by Australia's Michal Burian.
Sandeep Chaudhary fouls in his second
Sandeep Chaudhary fouls in his second attempt, but maintains his third position.
Yet another WR for SUMITTT
What is happening here? Sumit has bettered his first throw with a 68.8m effort and it is a new WORLD RECORD!
Sandeep Chaudhary starts with 61.13m
Sandeep Chaudhary has taken the third spot in the rankings with a throw of 61.13m in his third attempt.
