In the second round of the tournament, India's ace female tennis player Sania Mirza pairing up with USA's Bethanie Mattek-Sands lose 4-6, 3-6 to Russia's Elena Vesnina and Veronika Kudermetova.

Indian tennis player Divij Sharan and his British wife Samantha Murray Sharan, who played as a pair, lost to Croatia's Darija Jurak and South Africa's Raven Klaasen in the mixed doubles Round 2 encounter of Wimbledon 2021.
All-Indian pair of Rohan Bopanna and Sania Mirza register a second-round win in the Mixed Doubles. They beat Emily Webley-Smith and Aidan McHugh 6-3, 6-1.
Divij and Samantha Murray Sharan have made a winning start to their second-round encounter against the 10th-seeded South African pair of D. Jurak and R. Klaasen. The duo have taken a lead in the first set 6-3.
Mattek Sands' pressurised serving to stay into the match and gave way two successive points. The Russian pair earn three match points now. Won the final game at 15-point.

Elena Vesnina fetches point from her first serve. Veronikan compliments with a good volley following a long rally at 30-0. An ace takes them to 40-0. Mattek-Sands' return landed on net for Elena at 40-15. A drop shot again by the Indian brings the points at 40-30. Veronika slams the ball away to win the game

Veronika brekas on Mattek-Sands serve at 0-15. Miscommunication in a drop shot levelled at 15-15. Another stunning return leads to 15-30. Elena's shot too powerful for the second points at 30-30. But the Russians earn a break point with a string smash by Veronika and Mattek-Sand's error gives away the game.
