Sumit Nagal goes down 4-6, 6-4, 4-6 in a marathon battle against Filip Krajinovic in men's singles R32 at the 2023 Tata Open Maharashtra. It was a good fightback from the Indian after losing the first set, but has to crash out eventually.

Krajinovic up 40-15, and Sumit Nagal saves two match points to make it 40-40.

Krajinovic holds his nerves and he breaks. Sumit Nagal overshoots a forehand and let's out a huge cry. The Serbian will now serve for the match. It is quite simple for Nagal now - Break the serve and stay alive in the tournament.

Both the players holding down their own serves pretty well. It has been more than 2 hours and 10 minutes, and it is Nagal currently has his nose ahead at 4-3 in the decider.

By the looks of it, this could well go into a tiebreak unless someone is successful in breaking.

Sumit Nagal seems to be growing in confidence with each passing minute, as he now holds down Krajinovic for love in the third game of the set. The Indian is up 2-1. 

He had a couple of break points did Sumit Nagal, but fails to take advantage. 1-1.

Sumit Nagal raises his game under pressure. He breaks with a brilliant forehand and has taken the second set 6-4. Nagal takes the world number 54 into a decider!

Business as usual as both Krajinovic and Nagal hold their respective serves. The Indian with his nose ahead at 5-4 in the second set.

Sumit Nagal is showing he has it in him to play the long contests. Stands tall and fights well to hold his serve. Leads 4-3 in the second set.
