Stupa Sports, the leading global AI-powered sports technology and analytics firm, announced a landmark three-year partnership with Pickleball England, becoming the Official Data & Technology Partner for the English OPEN, scheduled between August 11-16, 2026.
As part of the collaboration, Stupa Sports will deploy its suite of AI-powered technologies at the world’s largest indoor Pickleball tournament, being held at its new home, the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, United Kingdom, this year. The partnership marks another significant milestone in Stupa Sports' global expansion, reflecting the growing recognition of Indian innovation in powering world-class sports technology solutions for international federations and premier sporting events.
Under the partnership, Stupa Sports will deliver a fully integrated technology ecosystem designed to enhance officiating, broadcasting and the overall tournament experience. The deployment will include:
AI-powered Match Analytics platform, providing real-time match statistics and performance insights for players, coaches, broadcasters, commentators and fans.
AI-powered Decision Review System (DRS), using Video Assistant Referee (VAR), a fully automated line calling system, to assist referees with accurate line and serve decisions to improve fairness, consistency and confidence during key moments of play.
Broadcast & LED Graphics, delivering dynamic on-screen visuals featuring live scores, player statistics and match insights.
Professional live streaming production, enabling fans worldwide to experience the tournament through high-quality digital broadcasts.
Megha Gambhir, Co-Founder & CEO, Stupa Sports, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “Our partnership with Pickleball England reflects a shared vision of using technology to elevate officiating, broadcasting, and fan engagement. As pickleball continues its remarkable global growth, tournaments need technology that can keep pace with the sport's evolution. Through our AI-powered Decision Review System, real-time match analytics, and broadcast solutions, we aim to deliver greater accuracy, transparency and a richer experience for players, officials and fans. We are excited to bring these innovations to one of Europe's premier pickleball events."
The English OPEN is one of Europe's leading pickleball tournaments and continues to attract some of the sport's top players from around the world. Through this partnership, Pickleball England is strengthening its commitment to delivering a world-class competition experience by integrating cutting-edge AI-driven technology across multiple aspects of tournament operations.
Karen Mitchell, CEO, Pickleball England, expressed her delight at the partnership, saying, "As the English OPEN continues to grow in scale and stature, we remain committed to investing in innovations that enhance the competition experience. Stupa Sports brings valuable expertise in sports technology, and we are excited to work together. The partnership further strengthens Stupa Sports' growing international footprint across racquet sports and reinforces its position as an Indian company building enterprise-grade AI solutions for the global sports ecosystem. Over the past few years, the company has expanded beyond performance analytics to develop advanced technologies spanning officiating, live scoring, tournament management, broadcast intelligence and AI-powered performance analysis.
The Pickleball England partnership also further consolidates Stupa Sports' expanding footprint within the global sports ecosystem. Much like its recent landmark milestones, including its appointment as the Official Competition Management Partner for Table Tennis New Zealand (TTNZ), the BWF certification of its AI-powered Instant Review System for all sanctioned badminton tournaments, its role as Data and Technology Partner for the Pickleball Champions League Asia Finals, the deployment of Stupa Cast for the Generali Hexagon Cup Padel tournament, and its provision of AI analytics for Major League Table Tennis and the Prime Volleyball League, along with its growing footprint in Oceania through agreements with Table Tennis Australia - this partnership reinforces Stupa's position as an Indian firm leading technology innovation across multiple sports globally.
