Manu Bhaker and Esha Singh will take part in women's 25m pistol qualification at Paris Olympics.
The shooting program at Paris Olympics is coming to an end as the final two disciplines, 25m pistol and the skeet, commenced on Friday.
Manu Bhaker, who has already won two medals at Paris 2024 entered into her third and final event of the competition. She alongside Esha Singh took part in women's 25m pistol qualification starting at 12:30 PM IST.
On the other hand, Anant Jeet Singh Naruka started his campaign in the skeet men's qualification event as the day-1 commenced at 1:00 PM IST on Friday.
As it happened:
Anant finishes the day first of skeet men's qualification in 26th position, scoring a 68 out of total 75 shots in the first three rounds.
He has felled behind from the top 6 and had a humongous task in hand before heading to the second day.
Manu qualified for the final with an outstanding score of 590 (24x) in the women's 25m pistol.
However, Esha Singh missed out on final, scoring a total of 581 (17x) and finished in eighteenth position.
She hits a 97 in the final series of rapid round. Hence, drops down to 15th position after realy-1.
It is very tough for her now as she is currently on eighth position in her relay.
