Mumbai Pickle Power continued their hot form in the World Pickleball League with a commanding 5-0 victory over Hyderabad Superstars, showcasing skill and resilience across all matches.

The men’s singles set the tone with a thrilling comeback by Brandon Lane, who overturned a 17-12 deficit in the final moments to secure a 19-17 victory over Hyderabad’s Max Freeman, maintaining his undefeated streak.

In the women’s doubles, Glauka Carvajal Lane and Katie Morris edged past Ava Cavataio and Madalina Grigoriu in a tightly contested match, clinching a 9-7 win to give Mumbai a 2-0 lead.

The men’s doubles featured electrifying, fast-paced rallies as Hyderabad’s Max Freeman and Ben Cawston stormed to an 8-1 lead. However, Mumbai’s Eung Gwon Kim and Mayur Patil staged a remarkable comeback with solid defense, eventually winning 15-14 in a brilliant finish that sealed the tie at 3-0.

Mihae Kwon showcased her dominance in the women’s singles against Karolina Owczarek. Despite Karolina’s spirited comeback to tie the game at 8-8, Kwon pulled ahead in the closing stages to win 11-8.

Brandon Lane and Glauka Carvajal Lane's chemistry in the mixed doubles proved too strong for Hyderabad’s Ava Cavataio and Ross Whittaker, securing a 14-8 win and a flawless 5-0 tie victory.

While Mumbai Pickle Power remain undefeated and firmly established as title contenders, Hyderabad Superstars showed moments of brilliance and will aim to regroup and bounce back stronger in the upcoming ties.
