Chennaiyin fc and kerala blasters have played out a draw at the marina arena, and Kerala Blasters fails to find their first win at the venue once again.
The first half was closely contested, with both teams having chances. the first 20 minutes was dominance from Chennaiyin fc but kerala managed to not concede. Sahal Samad's finish from an Ivan Kaliuzhnyi assist gave KBFC the lead in the 23rd minute. As a result of that goal, KBFC established a solid prominence in the game. CFC's best chance of the game came when Vincy Barretto's shot from inside the box was blocked. Despite conceding a goal, CFC has had an excellent first half.
The second half began with an early substitution from Chennaiyin, with Rahim Ali replacing Prasanth K, which changed the momentum for the hosts.In the 48th minute Rahim Ali receives a diagonal ball on the near side and tries a shot on the goal. Prabhsukhan Gill sticks out his hands to block it. The ball went towards Vincy Barretto, who reacts quickly and slots it to the left of Gill.
Both teams had their chances following the equaliser but the ball hesitated to bless both, forcing the rivals to settle for a draw. Kerala Blasters have risen to fourth place in the table, but their five-match winning streak has come to an end. Chennaiyin maintains its seventh-place position.
