Mumbai is yet to open its account in the tournament this season and remains at the foot of the group with zero points to its name.

Punjab claimed the gold medal after their penalty shootout victory over defending champion Haryana in the final of the 13th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship 2023 on Tuesday at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium, Chennai.

Punjab defeated Haryana 9-8 in the shootout after both sides played out a 2-2 draw in regulation time.

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu overcame Karnataka in penalty shootout to claim the bronze medal.

Asian Games medalist and India number one Dhiraj Bommadevara was stunned by Jharkhand's Mrinal Chauhan in the semi-finals of the men's recurve section of the ongoing senior nationals on Tuesday.

The Supreme Court of India has set aside the stay imposed by the Punjab and Haryana High Court on the holding of elections to the Wrestling Federation of India on Tuesday.

The bench of Justice Abhay S Oka and Justice Pankaj Mithal has asked the returning officer to proceed with the election with a revised program. The bench also mentioned that it failed to understand how the entire process of the election could have been set at naught by the high court.
