Game 1: Satwik-Chirag gains early lead

The Chinese supporters are roaring in every smash of He and Ren. 

But Satwik and Chirag are in firm control of the game at 4-2 and extends it to 5-2.

Good assessment from Chirag. Satwik allows the Chinese pair's toss. Indians get the first point, but He and Ren are quick to draw level at 1-1 with a brilliant jump smash.

Satwik and Chirag will look to reach their first final since July. They last won a World Tour title at the Korea Open. 

This will be the first meeting between the Indian and Chinese pairings. 

The Chinese pair won the Kumamoto Masters in Japan last week.

Kodai Naraoka, meanwhile, defeats Kanta Tsuneyama in the men's singles semifinal to confirm his place in the final.

Satwik-Chirag takes on Chinese duo Ji Ting and Xiang Yu in the semifinals. The match is expected to start at 4:10 PM IST. 

This will be their first meeting on the World Tour.

Sajan Prakash is set to train at Bond University in Queensland, Australia. The renowned Indian swimmer has received a World Aquatics scholarship that will bear his boarding, lodging and training expenses.

Indian Men's Hockey Team head coach Craig Fulton, on Friday, conducted a coaching session for the coaches of the member units participating in the 13th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship 2023 in Chennai. The aim of the session, which was organised at the Conference Hall of the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium, was to elevate coaching standards within the domestic circuit.
