Real Kashmir Football Club, (RKFC) owner Sandeep Chatoo died on Sunday due to a cardiac arrest in New Delhi. Sandeep, a Kashmiri Pandit, was in New Delhi for work when he suffered a massive heart attack. He was promptly rushed to the hospital but, unfortunately, could not survive.

Manager of RKFC Senior team, Umer while confirming the death told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), his body will be brought to Jammu for the final rites. Sandeep, survived by his wife, son, and daughter. Formed in 2016 by Sandeep, RKFC has transcended its role as just a football club, becoming a significant platform for valley youth. It is worth mentioning that RKFC is the only club from J&K participating in the I League

The year 2023 belonged to Indian compound archers as they dominated with four medals at the World Championships and a clean sweep at the Asian Games 2023. In contrast, recurve archers still trying to cope with the transition period, especially in women's recurve.

India also took their first-ever gold at the world championships and also topped the overall medal tally at the event for the first-ever time. Aditi Swami and Ojas Deotale become the first-ever individual world champions from India.

While the FIH Hockey5s Women's World Cup 2024 will be held between 24th January and 27th January, the FIH Hockey5s Men's World Cup 2024 will begin on 28th January and conclude on 31st January.
