HALF TIME!
End of the first half and India are right on top. Savita Punia and co have been the more dominant side and the way they bounced back after Australia opened the scoring has been commendable.
The Indian midfield and attackers functioning as a well-oiled unit and that has gone a long way in helping them to a one goal lead after the first 30 minutes.

29' - India miss PC!
Sonika fails to trap the injection from Sharmila and naturally Gurjit can't get a proper shot. Sonika herself takes a shot, but it is blocked.
23' - Good effort from Lalremsiami
A solo run from Lalremsiami and she takes a shot. Just misses the far right corner by a whisker. That was excellent!
20' - India in control
India are calling the shots in the middle now. Yet another excellent run from the right flank, before India lose possession inside the circle due to a stick challenge from Monika. Good intensity from the Indians today so far.
17 - GURJIT SCORESSSSS!
India have taken the lead early in the second quarter. The first drag flick from Gurjit hits a defenders foot, but she manages to slot in the second. Just casually lobs the ball over the goalkeeper and the defenders to the top right corner.
The Indian camp is all smiles!

END OF FIRST QUARTER!
End of a very intensely fought first quarter. India started off well, but the Australians were the first to break the deadlock via a PC. But Savita Punia and co hit back soon to keep things level.

13' - INDIA EQUALISE!
India hit back just a minute later. Salima Tete with a brilliant run and then pass to Sharmila Devi inside the box. The latter puts it across to Sangita, who deflects the ball in!

A PC for Australia and they take toll. A stunning drag flick to the bottom right corner by Stewart and Indian skipper Savita Punia is beaten. First international goal for Stewart.

8' - Gurjit hits it straight to the goalkeeper
The dragflick from Gurjit is blocked by the goalkeeper. A scramble follows in front of the goal, but the umpire blows the whistle against India. Australia restart the contest with possession.
