22' - India unable to keep the possession

The Indian women are unable to keep the possession for now. The mid-field is just not working for India as they keep on gifting away the ball in the middle of the pitch. They need to be careful here.

This has now become a game of Penalty Corners. Germany earns one now via a beautiful counter attack. India would not mind this though, they were outnumbered in the defence. 

Up to Bichu Devi once again.

Two back to back PCs for India, but they fail to convert even one. First time, they failed to collect the corner cleanly while a good save from the German goalie denied them the second time.

17' - PC INDIA

Germany start well, but India's counter has helped them earn a PC. Can India make it 2 in 2?

END OF FIRST QUARTER!

India started in a stunning fashion with an early goal from Lalremsiami, but the Germans have put them under tremendous pressure over the last few minutes. Bichu Devi has been an absolute rock in front of the goal in the first 15 minutes, and India would hope she continues to do well.

WONDERFUL SAVE!

Yet again a very good drag flick from the Germans, but Bichu Devi matches up with an even wonderful save.

They are handed yet another PC in quick succession are Germany, this time they try to convert it to a field goal but the shot goes very wide of the post. Bichu Devi was left wrongsided there, but thankfully for her and India no damage done for now.

Yet another PC for Germany. This time a tackle from behind by Vaishnavi. Can Bichu Devi save once again?

12' - Germany looking dangerous

The Germans penetrate once again, but the Indian goalie is up to the task yet again and denies them with a wonderful save. India create a counter, but their strikers are outnumbered. So far, so good from India.

Good work from the Indian keeper, Bichu Devi, as she blocks the drag flick easily. There is a rebound attempt from Germany but that goes well over the top of the goal post.
