India register 4-3 win over host Malaysia in their high-intensity match in Ipoh on Wednesday. Karthi Selvam (7), Sukhjeet Singh (21), Amit Rohidas (39) and Sanjay (53) scored for India while Faizal Saari (14), Fitri Saari (36) and Marhan Jalil (45) converted for the hosts.
The match started with India taking lead twice but everytime Malaysia caught up and equalised. The hosts kept pressing in the final minutes and even took their goalkeeper out to replace with an extra field player.
But, India held on and secured a crucial win. This victory moves India to the third spot and also keeps their hopes of reaching the final alive.
Malaysia have taken out their goalkeeper and brought in an extra field player.
With five minutes left, the match is heating up. Malaysia is pushing hard, trying to score again.
India extends lead one more time in the game. Sanjay coverts the Penalty Stroke in 53rd minute. India will now have to be cautious of Malaysian attack. India 4-3 Malaysia.
