India and Japan have a last shot to secure a Paris Olympics quota when they meet in the third place match of the Women's FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifiers 2024. India will have to beat Japan in the third place playoff match to seal its participation in the Olympics. The match will take place in Ranchi on Friday, January 19 at 4:30 PM IST

While Japan lost to the USA 2-1 in the first semifinal on Thursday,  India’s quest to secure qualification to the Paris 2024 Olympics suffered a setback after a 4-3 loss in the penalty shootout against Germany in the semifinal.
