A massive victory for India. More goals is what PR Sreejesh asked for at the start of the match and the boys have delivered.
Oman were never expected to pose a big challenge to the hosts, but they just fizzled out after that early burst of solid penalty corner defence.
IND 17-0 OMN
Dilraj is enjoying his outing tonight. Gets a fourth with a tomahawk.
IND 17-0 OMN
A good review from India earns them a penalty stroke. Shardanand Tiwari steps up for the duty and he beats the goalkeeper with ease.
IND 16-0 OMN
For all the appreciation of their penalty corner defence early on in this match, Oman seems to have given up entirely now.
India try a variation in the PC and the defence is nowhere to be found. Absolutely sloppy, but Dilraj and India would not mind.
IND 15-0 OMN
Despite the 14 goals, India's penalty corner woes haven't ceased to exist. A terrible, terrible trap this time and hence the drag flick is non-existent.
IND 14-0 OMN
A penalty corner for India and this time Shardanand Tiwari's drag flick is deflected into the net by a sliding Ajeet Yadav, who also has a brace now.
IND 14-0 OMN
The fourth quarter has just started and India go on the attack straightaway. Manmeet from the left baseline tries to cross the ball in with a tomahawk and an Omani defender copes a blow to his neck.
Not something you want to see on the field and he walks off as well.
IND 13-0 OMN
India finds the net for the 13th time with just seconds left on the clock for the third quarter. A seamless transition from the defence to attack and it is Gurjot, who does the honours of sending the ball into the net.
A brace now for Gurjot as we head into the break.
IND 13-0 OMN
