Women's Junior Asia Cup LIVE: India beat Japan 1-0 to enter final
18' - India not happy with the umpire
Yet another PC awarded to Japan and this time the Indians are not happy. Vaishnavi runs up to the umpire and asks for a review, but sadly there is no player referral in this tournament.
END OF FIRST QUARTER!
That play also brings an end to what has been a rather somber first quarter. The defensive unit from both sides called the shots in the first 15 minutes, and some poor passing by the attackers and midfielders did not help either.
The only time we saw goalkeeper in action was when Madhuri Kindo saved a PC towards the end of that quarter. Back after a shot break.
IND 0-0 JPN
15' - Japan misses PC!
Yet another PC for Japan and this time the dragflick is wide. This won't trouble the Indian defence.
14' - MADHURI, SAVES!
That's the first time the goalkeeper from either team was called into action today. A PC - first of the match, for Japan, but the dragflick is not the best you would see. Easy block for Indian goalkeeper Madhuri Kindo.
12' - Nothing to separate the two teams
A few hopeful run on the flanks by both teams, before they concede the possession with a poor pass or the defensive superiority of the their opponents. The deadlock remains.
5' - Japan slowly growing in confidence
Japan are slowly coming into their own after that early phase of Indian domination. The defensive units of both sides have been very solid so far and have not conceded any goals or penalty corners despite multiple penetrations on either side of the field.
2' - India with some early aggression
A couple of circle penetrations already from India and they are yet to lose possession. A nice start this for the girls in blue.
1' - India start with possession
India get us underway in this much awaited semifinal. They move from right to left of the screen.
