The Indian womenโs hockey team will take on Wales in their next Pool B fixture at the FIH Women's World Cup Qualifiers 2026 at the G. M. C. Balayogi Hockey Ground in Hyderabad.
India will be eager to return to winning ways after their intense 2โ2 draw against Scotland. Despite taking the lead through Navneet Kaur and Sunelita Toppo, the hosts were forced to settle for a point after Scotland equalised in the second half. The Indian side, however, showed promising attacking play and will be looking to sharpen their finishing in the upcoming match.
The hosts began their campaign strongly with a convincing 4โ0 win over Uruguay and have already demonstrated their ability to dominate possession and create scoring opportunities. With strong support from the home crowd in Hyderabad, India will aim to convert their chances and maintain control against Wales.
