India vs Pakistan, Hockey 5s 2023 Asia Cup Final: India were crowned Asian Hockey 5s champions after beating Pakistan 6-4 after penalty shootouts in the final on Saturday. This is the first time in three meetings that India have beaten Pakistan in the Hockey 5s format.
From 2-4 down in the second half, India took the game to the shootout after two goals from Mohammed Raheel. In the shootout, Pakistan missed all their chances while Maninder Singh hit the hammer in the coffin to score India's second goal in the shootout.

Who would have said India would have won today when they were 2-4 down, looking down at the barrel? Raheel was the hero in the second half, scoring twice in the second half to take the game into a shootout.
And the final goal in the shootout was aptly scored by Maninder Singh, who has arguably been India's most impactful player in this tournament.
India win! Pakistan miss their penalty again, and India score again through Maninder Singh.
India win the match 6-4 after the match ended 4-4 in normal time. Pakistan couldn't convert any of their penalties, India converted both.

Down to the last minute now. Nothing to separate the teams at 4-4. Pakistan shoot! Saved. Again, it's the men in green on the attack. India sit deep. The final whistle goes. It's 4-4 at the end of 30 minutes.

Another mid-pitch clash. Again, India awarded a penalty. Again, no way past the Pakistan keeper. Maninder gets a great chance with space in the 25th minute. Again, no way past the keeper.
But with 3 minutes left, India equalise! It's Raheel the hero again. 3 minutes left to find the winner for either side.
India go close in their hunt for a 4th. The Pakistan keeper pulls off a save to keep their lead intact. India get a penalty. Saved. India doing everything right except to get the equaliser.
The two-goal lead is short lived. Raheel sends the Indian section of the crowd wild with a superb goal as India score a 3rd goal.
Pakistan go close to scoring a 4th! Saved. They seem to be growing in confidence. In a tight spot, the defender dribbles out alone. And now they earn a penalty. And they score! Pakistan go 4-2 up. Liaqat Arshad the scorer.
The second half begins much like the first half - with frantic attacks. An Indian player goes down injured after a clash. Both sets of players start coming together, but then better sense prevails. India still on the attack, still hunting for the equaliser.
Big blow at the stroke of half-time. Hayat Zikriya makes a solo run through the length of the field and shoots to get Pakistan 3-2 ahead.
