HIL: Rarh Bengal Tigers beat Delhi SG Pipers – Highlights
38' - Tigers on the charge
The Rarh Bengal Tigers are a goal down and they are eager to take charge now. Constant pressure on the Delhi SG Pipers defence and the ball has hardly left their half in the third quarter.
The Pipers need to find a way to get back into the game.
Tigers 0-1 Pipers
31' - GOAL DISALLOWED FOR TIGERS!
Some drama early in the second half!
Sukhjeet Singh with a shot from a tight angle and the ball goes through Benjamin Rennie and into the goal for the Rarh Bengal Tigers. However, the Delhi SG Pipers are quick to ask for a review.
The TV umpire notes that the shot was off the back stick from Sukhjeet and the goal is disallowed.
Tigers 0-1 Pipers
HALF-TIME!
The second quarter was sedate for the first seven minutes but soon picked up pace towards the end. The Pipers were more eager to attack in the first half and they have reaped rewards.
Who else but Tomas Domene for them? Domene is now the second highest goal scorer this season, yet the Pipers continue to occupy the last spot on the table.
The Tigers have had their fair share of chances as well but Benjamin Rennie has done well to deny them on each of those occasions. Can the Pipers maintain this one-goal advantage and eke out a win?
Tigers 0-1 Pipers
29' - Tigers miss PC
A dangerous ball inside the circle following Benjamin Rennie's interception with his legs and the Bengal Tigers have earned a penalty corner.
They try a variation with Rupinder Pal Singh pulling the ball back to Sam Lane. The Australian's shot is however, deflected away for a long corner.
There's complete chaos in front of the goal from the long corner but Rennie stands tall to deny the Tigers.
Tigers 0-1 Pipers
26' - PIPERS SCOREEE!
The Delhi SG Pipers have broken the deadlock. Tomas Domene starts a move and he reaps the rewards himself following a good linkup play with Lucas Toscani.
Toscani puts the ball past at least a couple of defenders to find Domene, who slots the ball in on the roof of the post. PIPERS HAVE THE LEAD!
Tigers 0-1 Pipers
24' - SAVE, RENNIE!
Just as I type that, the Rarh Bengal Tigers have penetrated the circle. Sebastian Dockier with a good pass to Abhishek, who takes a shot on the reverse. But Benjamin Rennie pads it away.
Soon after Dockier comes on a brilliant run on the left and crosses the ball into the circle. He has succeeded in beating Rennie, but the Tigers' forward is late in reaching to deflect the ball in. THAT WAS CLOSE!
Tigers 0-0 Pipers
23' - Lots of midfield action
Lots of midfield action in the second quarter so far with nothing to write home. High rate of turnovers for both sides, which means there haven't been a lot of chances created either.
Tigers 0-0 Pipers
20' - Another good run from Dilraj
Dilraj Singh is doing some good work for the Delhi SG Pipers. Another run from the baseline on the left, but it is cut short this time around with the ball crossing over the line.
Tigers 0-0 Pipers
