Highlights as Rarh Bengal Tigers beat Delhi SG Pipers in the Hockey India League.

HIL Highlights: The Delhi SG Pipers ended their 2024-25 Hockey India campaign winless as they fell to a 1-2 loss against the Rarh Bengal Tigers at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela on Monday.
The Pipers scored first via Tomas Domene but their hopes of a first win in their last match were shattered as Rupinder Pal Singh and Sebastien Dockier scored within minutes of each other in the final quarter to take the Tigers to the top of the table.

The Delhi SG Pipers have only themselves to blame. They led for almost the entire match but have just thrown the match away in a matter of minutes in the fourth quarter.
They took the lead via Tomas Domene in the second quarter and seemed destined for their first-ever HIL win. However, the Tigers had other plans.
Rupinder Pal Singh helped the Tigers equalise before Sebastien Dockier found the winner with just under two minutes left.
The Pipers end their 2024-25 HIL campaign winless. That's got to sting.

With just under two minutes left, the Rarh Bengal Tigers have taken the lead for the first time in the match. Gursewak Singh with a brilliant run and penetration from the right and he crosses the ball in.
Sebastien Dockier outsmarts his marker and beats Benjamin Rennie to slot the ball in.
The Delhi SG Pipers, after leading for almost the entirety of the match, might have to go home without any points from the match.

Some smart work by Lucas Toscani inside the circle and the Delhi SG Pipers have earned a penalty corner. Tomas Domene with the drag flick and it is blocked convincingly by James Carr - the Tigers goalie.
Tigers 1-1 Pipers
A penalty corner for the Bengal Tigers and they have equalised.
The injection goes to Jugraj Singh in the second battery, who pulls it back to Rupinder Pal Singh in the first. The Indian veteran takes a couple of steps with the ball and shoots - it goes into the goal post all along the ground.
The Delhi SG Pipers defence caught napping there. They were outfoxed by the variation and now have to look for a winner with just over five minutes left in the match.

The Rarh Bengal Tigers finally get some control on the ball and they penetrate the circle. However, it is once again a back stick inside the circle for Tigers. Dockier the culprit this time as the move is cut short.

A defender's foot inside the circle from the Delhi SG Pipers and they concede a penalty corner. However, Jugraj Singh's drag flick doesn't have enough venom to trouble the Pipers.

The Rarh Bengal Tigers put relentless pressure in the third quarter on the Delhi SG Pipers, but the latter have held on to their advantage. The Pipers even had a chance to double their lead with a penalty corner but they failed to convert.
