21' - Spain on the charge

Spain have taken over ever since the second quarter started. They are constantly pressing forward and have succeeded in penetrating the circle multiple times. No harm done though yet, thankfully for India.

18' - SAVE, SURAJ!

Suraj Karkera called into action almost immediately and he does well to deny Spain the opening goal. A good move from the right and the ball is passed into the circle. 

There's a striker there to deflect it into the goal, but Suraj Karkera reaches keeps his eyes on the ball and averts the danger for India.

India bring in Suraj Karkera

The usual switch of goalkeepers at the end of the quarter for India, who have now brought in Suraj Karkera in place of Krishan Bahadur Phatak.

END OF FIRST QUARTER!

End of a sedate first quarter. Both teams trying to gauge what the other is trying to do. There have been chances on either side of the goal but nothing really to trouble the two goalkeepers, who haven't really been required in action so far.

14' - Lalit Upadhyay goes wide!

A good pass from Abhishek and the ball finds Lalit Upadhyay, who goes on a brilliant run. He looks up to see if he can pass the ball to anyone inside the circle and then decides to take a shot anyways.

Lalit wasn't really in control there and he shoots it way wide of the far post.

10' - Spain hits the post

A good buildup from the back from Spain before they try to drill the ball in from the left. It hits the far post and is deflected away.

Not sure if there was any deflection inside the shooting circle there. No reaction from any player, possibly indicating there wasn't any touch.

India are eager to push forward. A high press game employed and they are pressuring the Spanish players really well.

3' - India miss PC!

India on the attack and there's a stick challenge inside the circle on Sukhjeet Singh. The penalty corner is not given at first but it is handed after a discussion between the two on-field umpires.

It's Jugraj Singh on the first battery for India and his drag flick is deflected away cleanly by Spain's first rusher.

The match is underway at the Kalinga Stadium. Spain start with the possession, moving left to right of the screen.
