Indian women's hockey team took on Great Britain in their final match of the FIH Pro League season 2023-24 to end their London leg on Sunday.
Indian women's team was coming in after a heartbreaking lose against Germany where they conceded their seventh consecutive pro league matches, despite of an early 2-0 lead.
They repeat the same thing in this match and lost the match in the final 5 minutes conceding two late goals. They now finish the season on 8th position in the league table with just 8 points
As it happened:
Indian women's team conceded two quick goals on penalty corner to suffer another disheartening defeat as Grace Balsdon scored a brace. The final quarter started with a good defensive display from the Indian side.
But with 5 minute on clock, British side subbed off their goalkeeper to add another outfield player and this decision came out good as they win a penalty corner which quite impressively converted into the goal by Grace.
Then in the span of 2 minutes they converted another penalty corner conversion and claim the victory for the team. Indian women hockey team now ended their season with eight consecutive loss and finish on 8th position in league table with just 8 points.

A very sloppy third quarter for both the teams as there are many miss passes in the mid-field. Although, Britain looked good in the quarter but still India somehow able to defend their goal.
With just one final quarter left, India will try to hold on to their lead and end the season on a high note.
