That's all we have from the first day of the inaugural Hockey 5s. While the Indian women fell to shock defeats against Uruguay and Poland, the men's team registered a win against Switzerland before being held to a draw by Pakistan.

What a thrilling contest. They say Hockey 5s is unpredictable and this game showed exactly why. India had the lead twice in the contest, but Pakistan bounced back on both occasions to share the spoils.

The archrivals were equally matched for the 20 minutes and the scoreboard reads 2-2.

Pakistan have equalised with 30 seconds left on clock. A beautiful cross from the right flank and Abdul Rehman deflects it in. 

IND 2-2 PAK

Gursahibjit receives the ball in the centre and he just lazily slots it in. That was not the best of shots, but it has managed to beat the Pakistan goalkeeper and India have the lead.

Beautiful cross by Rabichandra from the left flank. The ball finds Gursahibjit, whose deflection goes a tad wide. This is good stuff from the Indians.

A loose pass from Pakistan, gives India a clear shot a goal. The shot deflects of a Pakistan defender's leg. India takes the advantage and the ball quickly finds Raheel, whose reverse flick is blocked well by the goalkeeper.

Pakistan with some very threatening plays, but the Indian defence has maintained their composure so far.

End of the first half and there is nothing to separate the arch-rivals after 10 minutes. Top notch stuff from both teams and expect a lot more intensity when they come back out.

Raheel once again opened the scoring for India, but Pakistan equalised via a deflection.
