Golf: Diksha Dagar finishes runner-up at Lalla Meryem Cup

India's Diksha Dagar finished at the Lalla Meryem Cup in the Ladies European Tour on Saturday.

Dagar had to settle for the second spot after a dramatic play-off loss to England's Cara Gain

er. The duo had finished level with a score of nine-under par in the competition.

The 24-year-old Dagar, however, faltered in the play-off hole as she registered a bogey as opposed to Gainer's birdie to surrender the title.

Dagar and Gainer were level on terms heading into the last nine holes in the competition. The Indian birdied in the 11th and 13th holes but bogeyed in the 14th before Gainer hit a hat-trick of birdies prior to the final hole.

The other Indian in contention in the event, Avani Prashanth finished tied 16th.
