A brace from Srimoti Sarkar and an early goal from Shamsunnahar helped Bangladesh clinch their first-ever SAFF Women's Championship title. Nepal fought well and got one goal back with Anita Basnet's strike, but it was too little too late.
With this win, Bangladesh has broken India's dominance in this competition who were knocked out earlier by host country Nepal for the very first time in the history of this tournament.
