52' - Same old story!

It is the same old story as the first half in the opening six minutes of the second half. Netherlands are dictating terms and the Indians are barely reacting to it.

46' - Poor cross from India

India go on the charge straightaway in the second half, but a poor powerless cross from the right flank brings an end to that early seconds of joy.

FIRST HALF STATS

HALF TIME!

India don't even come close with that freekick and that brings curtain down on the first half. The Indians have barely had any possession and the Dutch have completely dominated it.

The girls in orange, however, would not be too pleased with the numerous chances they missed and the goal they conceded due to a silly error. India, on the other, hand has a mountain to climb in the next 45 minutes post this break.

A reckless challenge on Anita right in front of the box. The Dutch defender is booked with a yellow and India has a freekick. Can they reduce the deficit?

Again a poor display of defence and goalkeeping from India and Netherlands have found the net once more. But, the goal is disallowed as the referee thinks the Dutch striker was offside.

Another lucky reprieve for India.

40' - India barely touching the ball

The Indians have barely touched the ball in the last 5 minutes. Netherlands, on the other hand, are playing a perfect passing game and creating decent chances.

Netherlands get a freekick from almost 35 yards out. They take it directly and it goes in with ease. Melodi Chanu seemed to have got her hand, but it has gone through.

29' - Bad second touch from Kajal

Kajal gets the ball in the centre and the striker runs forward. She just has the keeper to beat, but gets overexcited. A poor second touch and the ball just rolls away to the keeper. That could have been India's equaliser.

27' - Netherlands in control!

The Netherlands have done well to not let that Indian goal affect their morale. They are still well in control of the proceedings and are enjoying a major chunk of the possession with the Indians happy to gift it away whenever they have the ball.
