Odisha FC defeated East Bengal 3-1 in the Indian Super League on Saturday. With this win, the Juggernauts move up to 5th place in the points table with 22 points, just a single point behind 4th placed ATK Mohun Bagan.
It was Cleiton Silva who gave the visitors an early lead with a chipped attempt over Amrinder Singh within the first 10 minutes. However, talisman Diego Mauricio balanced the scales soon after.
Right at the stroke of half-time, it was a Nanda Kumar cross which creeped inside the goal to give the hosts a slender lead. Then, a few minutes into the second half, Mauricio scored his second and ensured all three points for his team.
