ISL side NorthEast United FC suffer their second consecutive defeat in the Durand Cup 2022, this time against a formidable Army Green side. The latter were quite dominant in their showing and displayed their experience throughout the match.
Army Green's skipper Lalawmkima scored a brace with Somesh Kothari contributing with his first-half goal. After bettering their performance gradually, the young team from the North East salvaged something from the forsaken game thanks to Dipu Mirdha's goal in the injury time.
NEUFC will need to rectify their game plan if they wish to advance into the next stage of the tournament.
