AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers Highlights: India started their 2027 AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers final round matches with a goalless draw against Bangladesh at their home turf in Shillong on Tuesday.
Both teams had their chances but neither were clinical enough in front of the goal. Even Sunil Chhetri had a chance go begging late in the match before he was pulled off.
Vishal Kaith had a rough introduction to the rigours of international football, though thankfully none of it proved costly.
Coach Manolo Marquez was raging during the post-match interview with the broadcasters. He has a lot of work to do.

That's all we have from India's clash against Bangladesh in the final round of 2027 AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers in Shillong.
Both teams had their fair share of chances but no one managed to breach into the goal post.
Thank you for joining into our coverage. See you next time!
Manolo Marquez did not mince his words, did he? He was fuming at the post-match interview with the broadcasters.
The question is why shouldn't he be? It was a chance for Sandesh Jhingan and co to dominate against a much lower ranked side but they come back with no goals to show for.
Vishal Kaith had a near horrendous debut at the goal and would consider himself lucky to walk away with a clean sheet. There were chances for the likes of Sunil Chhetri, Udanta Singh, and Farukh Choudhary but none of them were able to convert.
The only real solace for India, as Manolo pointed out was Liston on the left flank. There's a lot to work on for the Blue Tigers if they are to top the group and make it to the 2027 AFC Asian Cup.
IND 0-0 BAN
"When you enter the game and you concede the chance you did within five seconds...practically I don't want to speak much. I am very angry, disappointed with everyone. I do not have words for this poor performance," says Indian coach Manolo Marquez.
"Liston was a positive on the left side but not enough. This is not enough, maybe this is the reality of Indian football," he adds.
The final whistle blows and the camera pans to Sunil Chhetri on the bench. His face sums it up.
India and Bangladesh share the spoils in Shillong. They play out a goalless draw.
IND 0-0 BAN
The regulation time has run out and we have five minutes of added time. India have dominated the second half, right from the start.
The Blue Tigers just haven't found the goal. Can they in the next five minutes?
Remember, this is the easiest match India would get in this final round of 2027 AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers. Bangladesh are the lowest ranked team in Group C. India are ranked the highest and are playing in front of the home crowd.
IND 0-0 BAN
A shot from a distance by Bangladesh. It is on target but Vishal Kaith blocks it from going into the net, diving low to his left.
The deadlock remains with under a minute remaining in the contest.
IND 0-0 BAN
That's also the last bit of action we will see from Sunil Chhetri tonight in Shillong. The Blue Tigers send in Irfan. Last throw of dice from Manolo?
Chhetri still can't believe he missed that chance though. He is shaking his head as he walks off.
IND 0-0 BAN
