A beautiful steal and run on the right flank from Sharmila Devi. She was 1v3 but manages to pass it to Sangita, who was expecting a more squarer pass. Fails to collect and there goes another chance.

The NZ goalie once again up to the task as Gurjit Kaur's drag flick is blocked yet again.

Gurjit goes for a variation, but they fail to convert. Lalremsiami challenges for a high ball off a Kiwi stick and they are proven right. Yet another PC.

Brilliant use of review by India. They challenge for a backstick inside the circle and are awarded a PC!

52' - PC, MISSED!

Vandana, Navneet combine to earn a PC, but Gurjit Kaur's drag flick is blocked with ease by the Kiwi goalkeeper.

52' - NAVNEET MESSES UP!

A brilliant high press and steal from Navneet, but she eventually messes up a one-on-one with the goalkeeper. That could have been the match. ALAS!

48' - NZ shots goes wide!

A poor, poor display from Indian defenders and Olivia Shannon has a clear shot at goal. The Kiwi, however, fires it high and over the post. Terrible from India there.

46' - Brilliant from Sushila Chanu

Stunning effort in the midfield from Sushila Chanu. She breaches the NZ 25-yard single handedly and finds Lalremsiami with a beautiful pass. However, the latter's pass is very loose. Chance gone down.

END OF THIRD QUARTER!

India are living dangerously here. New Zealand have come close on multiple occasions, but the women in blue have been lucky. The Kiwis even equalised but it was disallowed.

Savita Punia and co need to get their act together in the last 15 minutes. They can not afford this lousy approach.
