Excellent start to the second round for Jaismine Lamboria as she goes on the offensive.

It's too hot to handle for Maselela, feels the referee who hands the Lesotho boxer her first standing count warning of the bout.

Jaismine is just toying around with Maselela now. The Indian keeps evading whatever her opponent has to throw at her before just extending her arm once to land a clean straight punch to the face.

Maselela with the early aggression and Jaismine is happy to just move around the ring.

Judo, Women's 57Kg Semi-final: Yamini Mourya wins on Ippon; confirms a medal

Yamini made short work of South Africa’s Donne Breytenbach, pinning her to the mat in just 1 minute and 38 seconds.

Donne attempted a throw but was caught in a dangerous position on Yamini’s counterattack. Yamini held her grip firmly, preventing any escape, and finished the contest with an Ippon.

This meant that India will have three confirmed medals on the first day of the judo programme. The medal bouts are scheduled to start at 8:30 PM IST.

Athletics: Men's Decathlon Pole Vault: Tejaswin Shankar finishes with 4.30m

Tejaswin couldn't find a valid jump at a height of 4.40m and finished the men's pole vault program with the best of 4.30m and earned 702 points.

He was 8th best in the men's pole vault programme, and hence dropped to 4th place in the overall standings with 6637 points from eight out of 10 events.

He will have to improve in the next two events, the men's javelin throw and the 1500m, to find a place on the podium.

Judo, Men's 60Kg Semi-final: Harsh Singh claims a win on Waza-ari; confirms a medal

Another Judo medal confirmed for India as Harsh Singh advances to the final of the men's 60kg with a win against Pedro Neto of Australia.

He found a brilliant throw in the third minute, scoring a waza-ari and then held on to his lead and won the bout to book his spot in the final.

Bowls, Men's Pairs, Section B, India vs Falkland Islands: India wins the match.!!!!!!!!!!!!

India wins its fourth match in the sectional play and is now just one match away from qualifying for the semi-finals.

India put in a strong performance and remained in control from the start. They did not allow the Falkland Islands to take a single end in Set 2 and secured a straight-sets win with scores of 6-3, 10-1.

India will now face England in its final sectional match.

Judo, Women's 48Kg Semi-final: Asmita Dey takes a 1-0 win; confirms a medal

Asmita Dey confirms India's first judo medal with a 1-0 win against Summer Shaw of Scotland in women's 48 kg semis.

After extra time, Asmita found a side throw to score a Yuko, which was counted as golden score, and she won the bout.

Judo, Men's 66 kg Repechage Bout: Rohit Majgul loses 1-2; bows out of medal contention

Rohit was put under pressure early on as Michael Fryer of England scored a point in the very first minute and then doubled it with another point later.

Rohit tried to come back and even scored his first point of the bout, but couldn't win any more points and lost it 1-2 eventually.

Judo, Women's 52Kg Repechage Bout: Shraddha Chopade loses in repechage 0-1; bows out of medal contention

Shraddha had an early attacking move, but she couldn't convert it and gave Lola Hodson of Wales a chance to come back.

After that early escape, Lola looked like a better player and tried more attacking moves, resulting in a 1-point lead via Yuko, which she held for the remaining minutes.
