Bowls, Women's Pairs, India vs England: England gets its first point.
End 4 was a good opportunity for India to increase its lead. England started strongly by placing their bowl closest to the jack, but Rupa Rani responded with an excellent delivery to regain the advantage. Pinki Singh, however, could not finish the end the way India had hoped, allowing England to pick up one point. The score moved to 4-1.

Rupa Rani started End 3 by placing her bowl closest to the jack. England responded well and managed to get one of their bowls just behind India's. The end then rested on Pinki Singh, who once again delivered under pressure and made sure England did not score. India picked up another point to extend its lead to 4-0.

England made a dominant start in End 2, giving India very little chance to score. However, Pinki Singh once again delivered when it mattered most, placing her final bowl closest to the jack to earn India another point. India extended its lead to 3-0.

Rupa Rani started End 1 of Set 1 with a brilliant bowl that finished very close to the jack, and her second delivery was even better. England briefly took control by placing their bowl nearest to the jack, but Rupa Rani shifted the jack back in India's favour. Pinki Singh then finished the end strongly, helping India pick up two points.

Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki Singh return for their second match of the day as they take on England's Sian Honnor and Amy Pharaoh at 10:05 .p.m. in their most important match of the tournament.
Only the Section B toppers will qualify for the semi finals. England currently tops the table, with India in second place. This is India's final opportunity to finish at the top of the standings and stay in medal contention.
Both teams head into the match after defeats in their previous games. India lost to Namibia, while England went down to South Africa. The winner of this match will keep its semi final hopes alive.
