The Welsh side dominated the contest from the outset, restricting India to a solitary point and securing a comfortable victory in regular playing time. India will now look to bounce back in their remaining pool-stage matches.

Tonga completely dominated Set 2 with 6-4. With India winning Set 1 and Tonga taking Set 2, the match now goes into a tie breaker.

Swimming, Men's 400m Freestyle Heats: Aryan Nehra and Dhakshan Shashikumar bow out!

India's campaign in the men's 400m freestyle came to an end with Dhakshan Shashikumar and Aryan Nehra missing out on qualification for the final.

Dhakshan finished 15th overall after clocking 3:58.09, while Aryan placed 16th with a time of 4:00.26.

India's Dhakshan Shashikumar finished seventh in Heat 3 of the men's 400m freestyle heats at the Commonwealth Games 2026.

Dhakshan clocked 3:58.09, finishing behind Australia's Benjamin Goedemans, who won the heat in 3:46.47.
