That was a fantastic jump from Sreeshankar, would have possibly put him in gold medal position but it is a foul. He was 1cm ahead of the board, says the technology.

But, Sreeshankar is not happy. Neither will be the fans. That was just so, so close. 

Muhammed Anees Yahiya improves further

Muhammed Anees Yahiya improves to 7.74m in his fourth attempt. Stays eighth.

Sreeshankar, Anees through to top 8

Both Murali Sreeshankar and Muhammed Anees Yahiya are through to the top 8. Sreeshankar goes in placed sixth with 7.84m, Anees is the last man with 7.72m.
