Full-Time: A thrilling 2-2 draw
India held Japan to a dramatic 2-2 draw in a nail-biting encounter that went on till after the final hooter. Japan regained the lead with just three minutes remining through a well-taken penalty stroke, putting the pressure back on India.
But the Indian team showed great resilliance and responded immediately, earning two back-to-back penalty corners — both of which narrowly missed converting.
