Lakshya Sen registered a grinding win in a topsy-turvy first match against world no.6 Chou Tien Chen to give India a 1-0 lead in the quarterfinal tie.

After dropping the first game and trailing by 6 points in the second, Lakshya made a good comeback to force the decider and then win the match despite late pressure from Chou.
