Table Tennis, Women's Team Quarterfinal: India loses 0-3 to North Korea; bows out of medal race

Diya Chitale also failed to register a win as the Indian women’s team went down 0-3 to North Korea in the quarterfinals.

India did not win a single game in the tie, with Diya losing in straight games, 9-11, 7-11, 8-11, to Su Yong Cha in the third singles.

Earlier, Sreeja Akula and Yashaswini Ghorpade had also suffered defeats, bringing India’s solid-looking campaign to an end in the last eight.
