Recap: Mirabai scripts history, Rishikanta adds silver on Day 4!

India enjoyed its best day of the Commonwealth Games 2026 so far as Mirabai Chanu clinched a historic third consecutive Commonwealth Games gold medal in the women's 48kg weightlifting event.

Earlier, Rishikanta Singh Chanambam won silver in the men's 60kg category after setting a new national and Commonwealth Games snatch record, becoming the first male weightlifter from Manipur to win a Commonwealth Games medal. Raja Muthupandi later added another silver in the men's 65kg event.

India now has four medals in Glasgow - one gold, two silver and one bronze.
