Treesa-Gayatri WINNN!

They have pulled it off. Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand have reached the semi-finals of the 2026 BWF World Championships.

Treesa is down on the court. Gayatri is teary eyed. 

They lost two match points, but secured it on the third with a push from China gone wide.

Treesa and Gayatri are only the second Indian women's doubles pair to reach BWF World C'ships semis. They are only the second women's doubles pair to assure India of a medal in the discipline.

The last ones to do it were Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa way back in 2011!
