Thanks for tuning for today's live blog of Boxing. It was 1 victory and 1 loss for India but could have swung differently in the second match. Manish Kaushik will be back stronger than ever and what he has achieved today is more than commendable.
Manish gave in his all and was really close. McCormack had it really tough and seemed to edge through only in the last round.
Kaushik has caught Mccormack off guard on a few occasions during this round. He is doing extremely well and the referee gives a warning to the Brit as well. Mccormack is desperate to get a few more blows but fails to get by towards the end.
Manish can do it. He has gone in aggressive in the first 30 seconds. THe southpaw is an awkward opponent to face and is using his left handedness to his advantage.
Mccormack catches Manish with his guard down and lands two blows to his face. Manish is also trying to connect and is being able to do so only when coming in close quarters.
Manish is pushed towards the ropes consistently and this seems to be a consistent tactic of the Brit. Kaushik's guard is down for the most part and he has exposed himself at times.
Mccormack wins the first round but it is still tight. Manish has been impressive and continues his combinations with defensive evasions as well.
