Welcome to The Bridge's LIVE blog of Boxing from Day 7 of the Tokyo Olympics.
Two Indian boxers will be aiming to move on to the next round today.
Women's Lightweight Round of 16- Simranjit Bhaatt (India) vs S. Seesondee (Thailand). Timing- 8:18am IST
Women's welterweight Quarter-finals - L. Borgohain(India) vs.N.C. Chen (Chinese Taipei). Timing- 8:48am IST
Absolutely brilliant performance by the girl from Assam who will also script history by becoming Assam's first medal winner. A good start to the day for India and one shall hope this continues for the next week or so.
The question is, what colour will it be? Lovlina has done the unthinkable and we shall hope it is a gold medal for the India in the following rounds.
Lovlina is still confident and hasnt tired too much. She can pull through this and ends her round with a flurry of punches.
Lovlina is more evasive and is on the back foot. Chen is running out of opportunities and will be looking to capitalise on the Indian's defensive nature this round.
Chen is fighting hard. She knows she can still pull through in this round.
