It is the pre-quarters of Swiss Open Badminton 2022 and we will have Indian representation in 11 matches today. Right from the likes of PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth to the young Asmita Chaliha and others will try to keep the Indian flag flying at the St. Jakobshalle arena today.

He has done it. Srikanth manages to pull a win from the jaws of a defeat. He lost the first game 13-21 without a fight. He saved a couple of match points in the second to take force the game into the decider before absolutely demolishing the Popov in that final game.

Srikanth wins 13-21, 25-23, 21-11 in a contest that lasted 1 hour and 13 minutes.

Srikanth is slowly starting to assert his domination in this match, which has now spanned over an hour. He leads 11-8 at the change of sides in the decider. This is a massive advantage to have.
